The Ladies 1's battled hard to get a well earned victory over Aylesbury on Saturday. The game was nip and tuck all the way with both teams having some chances to score in the first half which ended 0-0.
GK Flying was called into action a few times but pulled off a string of good saves to keep orange hopes alive, and then in the second half winger Becs Clayton got the killer goal driving down the right hand side and sneaking the ball into the bottom left hand corner. Their keeper and 2 defenders couldn't stop the ball going over the line and despite smothering it the goal was given and P&R went 1-0 up.
Some solid tackling from defenders Rooney and Ash and more saves from Flying kept a clean sheet for the home side and the game ended with P&R taking all 3 points.
Next week they face a tough away game against South Berks 2's at 1.30pm away at Cantley Park.
