It's that time of the year for you to give us your nominations for the “The Woodie Award for the Club Member of the Year”.
This award is presented, every year, in memory of Heather Smith (aka Woodie). Woodie was a larger than life member of the PRHC hockey family, and who embodied the sort of spirit that we're renowned for.
Woodie sadly passed away in June 2014 but the award honours her memory by recognising the contribution of people that show similar team spirit and attitude that she showed.
Who do you think is deserving of the Woodie award for this season?
Who do you feel works hard for the benefit of the Club, possibly behind the scenes or maybe the ‘unsung hero’ doing some of the dirty jobs that keep things running. Does someone inspire you that you would like to recognise?
This person can be a volunteer helper, a player, a parent, a coach or umpire (or might do all of those jobs!). The nominations can come everyone in the club, across the adult and junior sections, so everyone is invited to nominate their own hero for this season!
You provide the shortlist and the Committee will review the nominations and decide on the eventual winner.
Please give your nomination by Friday 18th April with the name of the person and some words about why you’re nominating them.
Send the info to Jackie Batten-Lincoln (Jax - Club Secretary) on Pitchero - direct message from Pitchero or use the contact us link https://www.prhockeyclub.co.uk/contact/contact-official-190154
We look forward to hearing from you all with your nominations.
Best regards
Simon Prinn
Club Chairman.
