Aylesbury 0 - 6 P&R Ladies 2's

The Ladies 2's recorded a significant, and important, victory on Saturday with an emphatic 6-nil over Aylesbury away from home. The game plan was executed to perfection with an early goal for Jess Greener in the first 5 minutes. This was followed by another 10 minutes later which Naomi Ashcroft will claim, but was already probably on its way in from Greener after some neat work to lift it over the keeper.

Aylesbury came back strongly after the initial shock of going 2 down and Hannah Doherty was called into action a few times in goal making some good clearances, with Ady Brown and Lucy Plummer clearing up as well at the back.

Hannah White grabbed the 3rd for P&R followed by Greener getting her second to take the oranges into half time 4-0 up.

If Aylesbury were downhearted at half time they didn't show it on the restart and really applied a lot of pressure to the P&R goal, winning several short corners but the back line scrambled everything clear - including a couple of goal line clearances!

Hannah Doherty kept a clean sheet after saving a Penalty Stroke on 50 minutes and then P&R immediately went up the other end to score, Mandy Wilton smashing the ball home in the 2nd phase of an orange short corner, and finally Ashcroft got her 2nd to make the final score 6-0 with a few minutes to go.

The next and final game is Saturday 25 March at home to league leaders Amersham & Chalfont at 1pm. All supporters welcome to make some noise! #orangelikeholland
